Founder Daniel Mercer grew up near High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire, where his father worked in property maintenance and Daniel spent school holidays helping with straightforward jobs in older family homes. He became interested in kitchens because they were often the rooms where several generations of alterations were easiest to see: extra cupboards added where they fitted, appliances squeezed into convenient spaces and new finishes installed without much thought for what was already there.
After working on residential improvement projects around Buckinghamshire and West London, Daniel increasingly found himself being asked to solve the same kitchen problems. Homeowners wanted more storage, better work surfaces and a room that felt coherent, but they did not always need an extravagant redesign. He started Kitchen Remodel London to focus specifically on practical kitchen improvements, from careful refurbishments to full remodels.
That Buckinghamshire background still shapes the business. Daniel lives with the idea that good work should be useful, durable and appropriate for the home. Alongside site lead Michael Bennett and kitchen finishing specialist Sophie Carter, he keeps the company focused on straightforward advice, tidy execution and the small details that make the finished room feel properly resolved.
